Details


The group has the purpose to bring together persons affected by bipolar, including carers, family members and friends, to share information, feelings, experiences or coping strategies, and by having similar challenges and connecting with each other, to feel a sense of community and more empowered.


If you have not been formally diagnosed with bipolar, you are welcome too.


The group is limited to 20 persons, comprising 10 seats at the Kogarah venue and 10 places to participate online. A family or friends group is limited to 3 places.


The workshop at Dandelion Bespoke Floral Boutique starts off with a 30-minute craft activity as a form of mindfulness to assist in those challenging times, the making of a terrarium or other plant or floral arrangement, conducted by an experiences tutor and group facilitator.


The support group session is from 6.30pm to 8.30pm Sydney, Australia local time, and is shared by people attending in-person and online.


Online places are available for people living anywhere in Australia.


You are encouraged to attend the group on a regular basis, for example, once a month.


The group is conducted by an experienced facilitator. During the session you may introduce yourself and share your feelings, thoughts and experiences.


All the personal information given by the Participants must be kept private and confidential.


There is no age restriction, but if you are younger than 18 you must come with a parent or guardian.


Tea, coffee and biscuits are supplied. Please bring your own mug.
