A research, clinical, educational and community oriented facility specialising in mood disorders. It facilitates a second opinion service for people with severe and/or treatment-resistant mood disorders through a number of clinics (Depression Clinic and Bipolar Clinic–this is strictly an assessment, no treatment involved). Psychology clinic also offered for people with mood disorders (ongoing treatment). Professional education and training programs are conducted for psychiatrists, general practitioners, psychologists and other mental health practitioners. Also conducts an extensive research program and regularly recruits volunteer participants in research trials. Support groups for people with bipolar and depression, social anxiety, separation anxiety & gambling (only run when there are enough participants). REACH program (time limited psycho-education group) facilitated by volunteers. Can send speakers out to community groups and other events. This support group is a pioneer of support groups in Melbourne and has been operating for more than 18 years.

Goals of the Mood Disorders Support Group are:
– to provide friendship and support to those with a mood disorder, their family and friends
