Kogarah Bipolar Support Group In Person

  • 2 hours 45 minutes
  • Dandelion Bespoke Floral Boutique, 52 Rocky Point Rd Kogarah NSW

Description

The group has the purpose to bring together persons affected by bipolar, including carers, family members and friends, to share information, feelings, experiences or coping strategies, and by having similar challenges and connecting with each other, to feel a sense of community and more empowered. If you have not been formally diagnosed with bipolar, you are welcome too. The group is limited to 10 seats at the Kogarah venue. A family or friends group is limited to 3 places. The workshop at the Kogarah venue starts off with a 30-minute craft activity as a form of mindfulness to assist in those challenging times, the making of a terrarium or other plant or floral arrangement, conducted by an experiences tutor and group facilitator. The Bipolar Support session runs the second Tuesday of each month starting 6th September 2022, from 5.45pm to 8.30pm. The sessions are shared by people attending in person and online. If there aren't available spots for this in-person event, go to "Online Bipolar Support Group" to see if there is availability online instead. You are encouraged to attend the group on a regular basis, for example, once a month. The group is conducted by an experienced facilitator. During the session you may introduce yourself and share your feelings, thoughts and experiences. All the personal information given by the Participants must be kept private and confidential. There is no age restriction, but if you are younger than 18 you must come with a parent or guardian.
